Jonathan Aberman, CEO and co-founder of Hupside, has published a new book, The Originality Dividend: Why Human Original Intelligence Is the Most Valuable Asset in an Age of AI. The book lays out a science-backed framework for measuring and developing Original Intelligence: the human capacity to generate ideas, exercise judgment, and produce outcomes that go beyond what AI can create on its own.
Aberman's argument reframes the question organizations have been asking about AI. The old question asked whether a human created something. The new question asks what that human contributed beyond what AI could have produced alone. Original Intelligence is the new standard for measuring that contribution.

Aberman has spent three decades building and investing in technology companies and advising federal agencies, including DARPA, the Department of Homeland Security, and the U.S. Air Force, on innovation strategy. He served as founding dean of Marymount University's School of Business, Innovation, Leadership and Technology.
